Bates College Museum of Art was interested in creating an eclectic 3 dimensional piece to showcase their Green Horizon's exhibit and its interdisciplinary approach to what it means to be green in the 21st century. The project involved a variety of pieces printed on different substrates.The finished piece was produced as a limited edition of 250 and given to each artist in the show and to all museum funders .

The initial concept of the piece was to create something that could be aesthetically pleasing, informative, and functional inviting the recipient to take action. The package consisted of a locally handmade wooden box with a retro 70's logo engraved on two sides. The contents included a printed mini catalogue, a DVD featuring artists' videos with a PDF of the full catalog, seed packets (viable organic seeds chosen by each artist that was representative of their work), and a Green Horizons tote bag. Throughout the production process we used local printers and vendors, recycled paper, non toxic inks, and both traditional and modern printing methods including letterpress, screen printing, engraving, and rubberstamp.
